The 2013 Fired Up for a Cure 5K race and event will take place on September 28th this year. Join us at our new location on the Roanoke River Greenway and River's Edge Sports Complex. Stay tuned to this site. More details will be posted here as the event comes closer.
Fired Up 2012 Results
A huge THANKS to all of those who partipated in the Fired up race or group walk. We had more than 300 runners and walkers this year that helped extinguish breast cancer.

If you placed in one of the races and did not pick up your award, you have until October 8th to claim your medal or trophy. Awards can be picked up at Tiffany Bradbury's office: 713 Third St., SW (third floor).

October is Fire Prevention and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so join our firefighters and step up to help "extinguish" breast cancer!

Fired Up For a Cure will take place on September 22, 2012, at the Roanoke Civic Center. The goal of this event is to prevent, educate and advocate about the importance of self breast exams, mammograms and also to remind citizens to practice their fire safety plans.
Run for a Cure
A 5K & 10K run will start the day and vendors, kids’ activities and health displays will be available for everyone to see after the race. For more information on the races, click the “register” button to the right.
We have a lot of great events in the planning stages such as:
¨ Roanoke Fire-EMS fire safety house and fire trucks
¨ Free food
¨ Roanoke police department displays
¨ Live DJ, kids’ activities, raffles and door prizes
¨ Breast cancer awareness displays and much more!
